Bob and Greg met
in church and started playing music together in November of 2003
when Bob joined Greg in the praise band. In 2005, they began
playing classic rock hits from the 60's and 70's at private parties
under the band name 'Geezer'. In 2007, they both stepped out
of the praise band, but continued playing as 'Geezer' in
local coffee shops and restaurants around Newnan and Sharpsburg,
GA. In early 2008, they released a CD of original Christian music
called "Touched By The Hand of The Master" which you can
listen to above.
In November of 2009, guitarist Guy Charpentier, joined Bob and Greg
and the band name was changed to 'Easy 85'. The group
played out from August of 2010 though October of 2011.
In March of 2012, Guy left and percussionist Joel Morley joined
Easy 85. Joel's congas fit in perfectly with the acoustic format
providing a solid rhythm without requiring amplification of the
guitars or vocals.
What's New
Easy 85 had our
first gig featuring Bob, Greg and Joel on Saturday December 1,
2012 at Espresso Lane in downtown Newnan. Thanks to everyone who
came out in spite of the fact that the SEC championship was being
played at the same time. We've posted a few new videos from the
gig. You can still find our old videos on our You
Tube Channel.
Greg is working on getting us a gig at Zac Brown's club in
Senoia, the Southern ground Social Club, hopefully in February or
March. We will likely revisit Espresso Lane as well. Stay
tuned...
